Retainers & Other Appliances

We offer orthodontic appliances, including ones that are designed to ensure your teeth remain in their new positions. These include retainers, night guards, headgear, palatal expanders, and spacers.

Why retainers and space maintainers matter

After orthodontic treatment, teeth can shift back to their original positions. Retainers play a crucial role in preventing this, ensuring the investment in your smile is protected and lasting. A space maintainer preserves the space that results from a prematurely lost baby tooth. It prevents the surrounding teeth from drifting into this space and optimizes the available room for the future eruption of the permanent teeth. A space maintainer is made of stainless steel and/or plastic and is usually cemented in the child’s mouth soon after the tooth is lost.

Choosing the right retainer

We will help in selecting the best type of retainer based on orthodontic history, lifestyle, and preferences. Whether you need a fixed retainer for constant support or a removable one for flexibility, we have the options to suit various needs.

Retainer options

Fixed retainers

Bonded directly to the inside surface of the lower canines, fixed retainers are great for those who prefer not to worry about daily removal and maintenance.

Removable retainers

These retainers can be taken out of the mouth for eating and cleaning. Available in different types including the clear plastic aligner-style and the traditional Hawley retainer.
