Dr. Michele Tafoya earned her dental degree from Marquette University School of Dentistry in 2003. She then served as Captain and general dentist for four years in the United States Air Force. Following her military service, she practiced dentistry at the Community Health Clinic at the University of Nevada Las Vegas in Las Vegas, serving as lead dentist. In 2009, Dr. Tafoya was accepted into the University of Nevada Las Vegas’ Pediatric Dental Residency Program and served as Chief Resident her senior year.
Dr. Tafoya is a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, and an active member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Minnesota Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the Minnesota Dental Association. Dr. Tafoya is also an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry.
Dr. Tafoya resides in Edina, MN with her husband, Chris, and their two boys. When she’s not practicing or teaching dentistry, Dr. Tafoya enjoys spending time with her family and friends, cooking, traveling, enjoying the culture of the Twin Cities and running around our local lakes.
