Dr. Teresa L Fong graduated from the University of Tennessee School of Dentistry in 1985 and obtained a Certificate in the specialty of Pediatric Dentistry from the University of Kentucky in 1987. She has been in practice with Metropolitan Pediatric Dental Associates since 1988.
Dr. Fong is a Fellow in the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and is certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Fong serves as the Minneapolis District Dental Society Trustee to the Minnesota Dental Association. For 14 years, she chaired the district’s “Give Kids a Smile Day” at Sharing and Caring Hands in Minneapolis. She is also an active member of the Minnesota Dental Association and serves on the Membership Committee and the Barriers to Care Committee. Dr. Fong is a member of the American Dental Association, President-Elect of the International College of Dentists, and Secretary-Treasurer and Program Chair for the Minnesota Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. She is an Adjunct Faculty member in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Minnesota and co-chaired the Capital Campaign for the University of Minnesota Pediatric Dental Clinic. Dr. Fong also serves as a Board Member and on the Development Committee of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry’s charitable arm-Healthy Smiles Healthy Children: The Foundation of the AAPD.
Dr. Fong’s favorite day of the year is the “100th Day of Kindergarten!” She enjoys and cherishes time with family. Dr. Fong and her husband, Ron, reside in Minneapolis. Together, they have a son named Andrew, who is away at college.
